| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study "to explore farther south in South America (colder climates) to obtain stocks of the fly Ormia depleta, a natural enemy of the mole cricket," and "to culture the captured South American flies in our laboratory and supply them to collaborators in other states for release." Discusses research supporting the effectiveness of the fly for mole cricket control, particularly on golf courses. Also discusses the fly breeding and releasing progress of the project. This three-year project began in 1998. |
