| USGA Summary Points: | We found that electricity usage, with and without the irrigation system, is usually the key golf course component with the greatest potential for cost savings coupled with carbon footprint reduction. We also found that trees on a golf course are excellent sequesterers of CO2. Unfortunately, this goes against the current trend of removing trees from golf courses. |
