Abstract/Contents:Announces the creation of KTURF, a computer program that models nitrogen and pesticide leaching from golf course turf. The program, developed at Kansas State University, uses an artificial neural network to organize relationships between various golf course variables and leaching. The program is able to predict leaching in the upper 20 inches of soil within 4% of actual leaching values.
