Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a golf course permitting case in which an environmental impact study for two proposed golf courses was rejected in Suffolk County, New York. The study had dismissed the possibility of organic golf course maintenance. A state Supreme Court judge ruled that under the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the county had to evaluate and consider alternatives that might protect the environment, including organic culture. |
