| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study "establish a primary molecular map for the chromosomes of Cynodon" and to "align the chromosomes of Cynodon with those of the major cereals, gaining access to much genetic information." This five-year study will begin in 1998. Preliminary results indicate "significant progress in characterizing DNA clones from bermudagrass and other grasses (especially Pennisetum and Sorghum), for their effectiveness in detecting DNA markers in bermudagrass." |
