| Abstract/Contents: | "Southern turfgrasses are subject to attack of many diseases, a few of which are frequently serious. The number of diseases reported attacking southern turfgrasses and those which are generally most damaging are presented. The disease survey indicated a need for identification of casual organisms. Identification is needed to decrease the often confused symptom-disease relation and to insure more adequate control methods. Several fungicides ahve been screened for the control of Phythium cottony blight and Helminthosporium turf spots and results of the tests are presented." |
