Abstract/Contents: | Provides suggestions for speeding the recovery of tee divots from several golf course superintendents. Recommends superintendents use "a divot mix that holds moisture...but also a 16 oz [ounce] cup of 4-6-4 or any organic [with high phosphorus fertilizer] in [the] mixer." Mentions the use of artificial mats on a rotation to enable the cleaning and filling of divots. Suggests potential benefits of re-sodding tees with dwarf Kentucky bluegrass, which is "much more wear tolerant and the divots are half the size." |
