Abstract/Contents:Details a presentation at the Seed Research of Oregon's 2010 Seed Technology Program that "debunked some popular myths that superintendents may hear when they are planning seed purchases." Discusses the idea that cheap seed does not save money in the long run, that all fine fescue turf-types do not perform the same, salt tolerance differs between cultivars, and that stolons exist in perennial ryegrasses. Suggests that "frequent aerifying is needed to control thatch in ultradwarf [bermudagrasses]."
