Abstract/Contents:Provides a guide for safely removing "blind hole" bearings that have been pressed too far into a machine part, making them difficult to remove with ordinary extraction tools. Recommends the use of grease as a lubricant before packing the hole with oil soaked paper towel and then striking the bolt. Explains that sealing the hole this way creates "a hydraulic ram," and advises extreme care in catching the bearing and not striking other engine parts.
