| Abstract/Contents: | "Reports that "in 2009, Golfpreserves, a carbon sequestration program for the golf course industry and other turf-based industries, and the Allied Golf Associations of Colorado...established the Colorado golf Carbon Project to recognize the ecological value of golf courses and to support research on carbon sequestration and carbon emissions at golf courses." Continues that between 2009 and 2011, Golfpreserves computed the amount of carbon sequestered from at least seven Colorado golf courses. Briefly notes the sale of honorary certificates of carbon sequestration, and the donation of $12,000 to the Golf Foundation of Colorado for research on the subject." |
