| Abstract/Contents: | "Clipping weight and turf quality measurements for a 4-year period are reported comparing the response of creeping bentgrass turf under putting green management to 1 and 2 applications of two ureaform formulations with 6 and 12 applications of the same quantity of nitrogen derived from two natural organic and two inorganic carriers, respectively. Similar growth response may be produced by all nitrogen carriers tested, provided they are properly handled. Differential growth response from the U-F formulations indicates that they may vary in their insoluble nitrogen components. Growth curves and turf quality determinations indicate that the value of any form of nitrogen depends primarily on how it is used." |
