| Abstract/Contents: | Suggests the term "standard" or "minimum standard" in terms of protecting the environment is a difficult concept because of the universal implications. Different people have different ideas of how high or low a "standard" should be set. Suggests trying to do the absolute best instead of doing the minimum required to protect the environment. Discusses the Audubon Signature Cooperative Sanctuary Program and its mission "to enhance the quality of life and the environment through research, education and conservation assistance." Discusses four topics of concern: USGA greens, drainage, pesticide storage, and irrigated turfgrass acreage. |
