| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses some '2 Rule' rules for golf course maintenance. The two-day rule for mowing greens -- for example, if greens are not mowed on Monday, it will take them two days to return to the same firmness and speed that they had on Sunday. It takes two days for the effects of a rainfall to show on turf. The two-inch rule when adding sand to bunkers. The "2" rule applies to double-cutting the greens so they play faster and smoother. Use two Whiele-type rollers on the front and rear of mowers to create a better and lower cutting height. Includes non-2 rules as well. |
